Albert F. Ebert, Jr., 80, of Pottsville died Sunday evening at home. He was born June 20, 1928 in Schuylkill Haven son of the late Albert F. and Mamie Neidlinger Ebert. He attended Cressona and Pottsville Schools and was employed by the former Aetna Steel for 23 years and most recently the Pottsville Area School District prior to retiring in 1990. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and a life member of the Good Will Hose Co. #4, Pottsville. He was preceded in death by his wife the former Ethel Bennethum on February 9, 1998,a grandson, Jason Ebert; 2 brothers, William and Elmer, and 2 sisters, Ada Smith and Gertrude Reifsnyder. Surviving are 5 children, Albert, III, Pottsville, Shirley Fessler, Summit Station, Alice Barket, Minersville, Harry, Pottsville, and Mary Lord, Seltzer: a brother, Paul D., Pottsville: 9 grandchildren: 6 great grandchildren: nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday at 11:30 A.M. from the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville with Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
