Catherine L. "Cathy" Pagnotta, R.N.

Catherine L. “Cathy” Pagnotta, R.N. 64, of Pottsville, died peacefully surrounded by her family at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

She was born September 15, 1959, in Pottsville a daughter of Joan Larish Tranquillo, Pottsville and the late Anthony Tranquillo. 

She was a graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville. A graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing and Cedar Crest College where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

She was employed by the former Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville, and the former Schuylkill Health Network, prior to retiring.

Cathy was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair.

Throughout her life Cathy enjoyed going on cruises with her husband.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband of 37 years. Giuseppe Pagnotta, Pottsville; a daughter Alessandra Pagnotta and her fiancé Kyrie Rose, Pottsville; her brother, Frank Tranquillo and his wife Ann Marie, Pottsville; a nephew Aaron Tranquillo; aunts, uncles, cousin, and extended family in Italy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11AM from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, with Msgr. William F. Glosser as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 5-7PM Tuesday at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville and from 9AM-10:15AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Cathy be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund 250 E. Hancock St., St. Clair, PA 17970.
