James J. Schreffler, III

James J. Schreffler, III, 57 of Brier City, Pottsville, died Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest-Allentown.

He was born October 9, 1964 in Pottsville a son of the late James J., Jr and Sarah "Sally" Duffy Schreffler. 

He was a 1983 graduate of Pottsville Area High School.

Jim was employed by the former Cressona Aluminum and Kaytee Products, both of Cressona.

Throughout his life Jim was an avid collectors of guns.

Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Geraldine Holley Schreffler; a son James J. Schreffler, IV and his wife Dana, Pottsville; a daughter, Samantha Schreffler, Pottsville; a grandson, James J. Schreffler, V; a brother, Scott Schreffler and his wife Adrienne, Pottsville; Sandy Ferrari and her husband Joseph, Gordon; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday from 9-11AM at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Jim be made to Ruth Steinert SPCA PO Box 332 Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
