Jody A. Berger, 66 of Orwigsburg, died Friday at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem.
She was born April 26, 1958, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Robert D. Sr., and Charlotte A. Hesse McKenzie.
She was a 1976 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and attended Penn State University.
Prior to retiring she was the sexton for the 1st United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven and legal secretary for Williamson, Friedberg, and Jones Law Office, Pottsville.
Jody was member of 1st United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven where she was active in many activities.
She was preceded in death her son Jeffery T. Harless.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Stacey Harless and Chole Fidler, both of Orwigsburg: siblings, Terry Snyder, Pottsville; Robin Schultz, Northampton; Robert D. McKenzie, II, Sinking Spring; Kelly Wenrich, Womelsdorf; her 2 dogs and 2 cats, Axel, Scarlet, Leo and Harley; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Jody be made to Tunnels to Tower Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
