Kevin J. Hoke

Kevin J. Hoke, 64 of Pottsville, died peacefully Wednesday at home surrounded by his family.

He was born March 31, 1959 in Pottsville a son Rich O’Brien and the late Patricia McGovern O’Brien 

He was a 1978 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and he attended Delaware Valley College majoring in business administration.

He was employed by Hexcel Pottsville for 35 years, most recently as an IT engineer.

Kevin was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, the Green Wave Association, Crimson Tide Football Club, a board member of the Schuylkill County Sewer Authority, and was an assistant coach from Nativity Track and Field.

Surviving are his wife Mary Jane Brennan; 2 sons, Evan Hoke, Philadelphia; Nate Hoke and his wife Jordan, Pottsville; 2 granddaughters, Allegra and Charlotte; 6 siblings, Karen O’Brien, Wylie, TX; Rich O’Brien and his wife Amy, Pottsville; Kim O’Brien Yurchak and her husband Dave, Baltimore, MD; Randy O’Brien Fairfax, VA; Jamie O’Brien and his wife Jen, Pottsville; nieces and nephews.

Service of Remembrance will be held 12PM Saturday, April 29^th at Our Lady of Calvary Chapel at Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10AM until the time of services at the chapel. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Kevin be made to Schuylkill River Greenways NHA, 140 College Drive, Pottstown, PA 19464. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.
