Louise Ann "Lou Ann" Boyer

Louise Ann “Lou Ann” Boyer, 68, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday, November 9th at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born in Pottsville, July 23, 1955, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Nuss Boyer, Pottsville and the late Paul Boyer.

A graduate of Pottsville Area High School, class of 1974, she was last employed by Pine Shirt Company.

Lou Ann was a member and attended Trinity United Church of Christ, Pottsville, where she loved singing in the church choirs for over 40 years. Her church family meant the world to Lou Ann. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Lou Ann truly cherished her family and friends.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her father are her maternal grandparents, Allen and Anna Nuss.

Lou Ann is survived by her mother, Elizabeth, siblings Harry Boyer, Pottsville; Robert & Toni Boyer Atlanta, GA; and Beth Boyer Kollas & Chad Kollas, Orlando FL; as well as nephews, nieces and cousins.

Lou Ann was an inspiration to everyone who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov 18th at 11am from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with her sister The Reverand Dr. Beth Boyer Kollas officiating. Family and relatives are invited to a viewing from 10AM until the time of services. Interment will follow in Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Lou Ann be made to Trinity United Church of Christ 316 W. Market Street, Pottsville PA, 17901 or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
