Marian M. Smith

  Marian M. Smith, 88 of St. Clair formerly of Pottsville, died Monday at home.

  She was born September 1, 1930 in Pine Grove the daughter of the late William E. and Myrtle M. Reber Lehman.

  She was a 1948 graduate of Pottsville High School and a received her LPN in 1972 from Schuylkill County Vo Tech.

  She worked at Medical Records at the former Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic, prior to retiring in 1995. Marian was a member of First Presbyterian Church, St. Clair and the former Pottsville Hospital Auxiliary.

  She was preceded in death by her husband George G. Smith on Dec 7, 2010; a grandson Bryon Grube, 2017; a brother, Earl Lehman; a baby sister, Betty Jean Lehman. Surviving are 4 daughters, Mary Jo Grube, St. Clair, Margaret Rowlands, Tremont, Claire Derk, West Milton and Georgene McKinley, Cape Vincent, New York: 6 grandchildren: 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. a sister, Ruth Achenbach, Pottsville: nieces and nephews.

  Services celebrating the life of Marian will be held Sunday Oct 21^st at 4PM from First Presbyterian Church, St. Clair. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contribution made to Schuylkill County Crippled Children Society, 121 N. Progress Ave Ste 330 Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.
