Rosemary C. “Rosie” Hostetter, 68 of Pottsville, died Saturday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born June 4, 1954 in Pottsville a daughter of the late Herbert and Frances McCord Gross.
She was a 1972 graduate of Pottsville Area High School.
Rosie was a teachers aid for the Pottsville Area District prior to retiring.
She was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.
Rosie was a devoted wife, mother and enjoyed her job as a teachers aid.
She was preceded is death by her brother, SP4 V. Lee Gross, MP.
Surviving is her devoted husband, Robert L. Hostetter; her loving children, T.J. Hostetter, Pottsville; Stacey Hostetter, State of Washington; Kaitlin Hostetter, Pottsville; a brother, James Gross, Pottsville; 2 sisters, Karen Measel, Port Carbon; Diane Nevadomsky, Pottsville; nieces and nephews.
Service of Remembrance will be held Monday at 11AM from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Deacon John E. Quirk officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9AM until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrance in the form of contributions in memory of Rosie be made to St. Joseph Center For Special Learning, 2075 W. Norwegian St., Pottsville, PA 17901.
