Kenneth L. Frie, Jr.

Kenneth L. Frie, Jr., 68 of Pottsville, died Monday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill, East Norwegian St., Pottsville.

He was born September 6, 1953 in Pottsville a son of the late Kenneth L. Sr., and Edna Kilmurray Frie.

He was a 1971 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and a 1976 graduate of Penn State University.

Prior to retiring he was an English teacher at the D.H.H. Lengel Middle School, Pottsville.

Ken was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. Throughout his life he was an avid golfer and college sports fan especially Penn State.

Surviving are his close cousins, Jane Kremer and her husband Richard, Schuylkill Haven, Thomas Schaffer, Schuylkill Haven, and Dorothy Martinaitis and her husband Gary, New Philadelphia; cousins, friends and his loyal Golden Retriever Companion, Goldy;

Funeral service will be held Noon Thursday at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Rev. Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 11AM until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in memory of Ken to made to Trinity Lutheran Church 300 W. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
